SHOULD HIGH SCHOOLS BE ABLE TO PUNISH STUDENT SPEECH ON SOCIAL MEDIA? YES or NO COMMENT WHY STUDENTS SHOULD OR SHOULD NOT BE PUNISHED FOR USING SOCIAL MEDIA
MY ANSWER: Schools should not be able to punish students based on what they put on social media. Our first amendment right is the freedom of speech. I understand that is right to punish students for what they say in school to others that may affect that person but is not right for schools to punish students for what they write or post on social media because it’s our right to use social media how we want to use it but in an appropriate way.
